Carter-Waters was started in 1922 by Kemper Carter and Bert Waters. In 1984 Jeff Hanes purchased Carter-Waters and transformed the company into a leading distributor focused on providing a wide range of products and world class service for its customers. The Pritzker Group (www.pritzkergroup.com) acquired the business in 2007.
With ten locations spread across Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois, Carter-Waters serves its customers’ construction material and equipment needs by representing over three hundred manufacturers and stocking over five thousand different line items. Carter-Waters also maintains its own extensive rental inventory of concrete forming and shoring products, and operates its own rebar fabrication facility offering customers standard and customized rebar products.
