Carter-Waters was started in 1922 by Kemper Carter and Bert Waters. In 1984, Jeff Hanes purchased Carter-Waters and helped turn the company into a leading distributor of construction supply materials. The Pritzker Group (www.pritzkergroup.com) acquired the business in 2007 and has helped offer a broad relationship network to optimize the overall performance of the company.
With seven locations spread across Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois, Carter-Waters serves its customers’ construction material and equipment needs by representing over three hundred manufacturers stocking over five thousand different line items. Carter-Waters also maintains its own extensive rental inventory of concrete forming and shoring products, and operates its own rebar fabrication facility offering customers both standard and customized rebar products.
